2021: Outlaw Express Lift

For decades, the old Ray’s Lift had served the “front mountain” of Sundance’s ski terrain. The ‘90s-era lift was aging and crawled at a pace that took over twenty minutes to reach the top! To spare skiers the long chilly ride, we replaced Ray’s with Outlaw Express, a swift seven-minute journey that included a mid-station to let beginner skiers unload and access gentle terrain. This one improvement has made a world of a difference—now, skiers can easily lap the front side of the mountain, shiver far less during night-skiing forays, and get all the way to the top to the Mandan summit in one fell swoop.
